The Sky Tree is rising up tall in Tokyo’s East. Eight months ago, when it was still a lot shorter I wrote about it first. I can watch its progress from our balcony. On rainy days, its top already disappears in the clouds.
On a fine day, on a stroll through Asakusa, we somehow ended up walking all the way to the base of the tower over in Sumida-ku. We were just magically attracted by it. And we were not the only ones. At all vantage points, crowds were pointing their cameras and cell phones at the Sky Tree. That day, the Sky Tree was 478m high. And this is what we’ve seen on our walk!

so nah bin ich selbst noch nie dran gewesen, habe immer nur vom Fluss aus gesehen
Bin gespannt, wie der Turm fertig aussehen wird.
